1 Corinthians 4: Are You Sharing The Mysteries Of God?
Verse of the Day: (V1) “Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God.”

1. Mysteries Of God (V1-2)
V1 “Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God.”

Apostle Paul commanded the Corinthian church to be faithful in sharing the mysteries of God which was none other than the gospel of Christ - that Jesus died and shed His precious blood, and whosoever would believe in Him shall never perish in fiery hell, but have everlasting life with Him in glorious heaven one day. Indeed, we may not have the same gifts and talents, but God commands us to be faithful in sharing the gospel of Christ!

V2 “Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.”

2. Praise Of God (V3-5)
V4 “For I know nothing by myself; yet am I not hereby justified: but he that judgeth me is the Lord.”

Though God called Paul to be the preacher of His mysteries, yet there were people who judged him for his past sins, and rejected him as God’s servant. However, Paul was not discouraged, as he knew that only God is his judge, and only God could see the hearts of men. Let us be found faithful in sharing the gospel of Christ so that one day we shall hear the praise of God - “You are my good and faithful servant, welcome to my kingdom!”

V5 “Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God.”

3. Kingdom Of God (V6-21)
V20 “For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power.”

Paul explained to the Corinthian Christians that it was not so much that they shared the gospel of Christ, but it was the power of their life testimony. They must practice what they preached - if they preached the love of God, they must themselves love one another. Paul’s final word to them before he would visit them was that they must be prepared that he would come to them with the rod of discipline if they failed to live for God, or that he would come with the spirit of love and humility if they had lived for the praise of God!

V21 “What will ye? shall I come unto you with a rod, or in love, and in the spirit of meekness?”

Prayer of the Day:
Dearest God, please help me to faithfully share Your mysteries or gospel.
